Europol conducted a massive operation against arms and drug trafficking along the Balkan route, which has been found to be the main route into Europe for illegal immigration as well.

The operation, called ‘Balkan Warrior’, involved cooperation between the police forces of several EU and Balkan countries, and was conducted to counter the flow of weapons and drugs crossing the region is 382 arrests the balance of the maxi operation conducted by EUROPOL
