Paris: several injured after stabbing attack at Gare du Nord, attacker arrested
A man armed with a knife injured several people at the Gare du Nord in Paris. He was arrested by police.
The events occurred around 6:45 a.m. at the station. For an undetermined reason, the man injured several people with a knife. The police subdued him using their weapon , the same source added. According to information from Le Parisien , the individual allegedly used a fist.
Attacker slightly injured
The attacker, who was slightly wounded , was rescued at the scene by rescue workers. A security perimeter was immediately deployed. A body count was underway shortly after 8 a.m.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin reacted on Twitter, writing, “Thank you to the police for their brave and effective response” .
